Why We Love This Deal

Wake up in a different paradise each morning on this intimate cruise through Fiji's islands. The ship's smaller size (just 32 cabins) means you'll be able to explore hidden places that the larger cruise ships can't reach. Laze away the day on golden beaches, snorkel through crystal-clear lagoons, or kick back and enjoy the view from the open-air sky deck.

Flight aren't included, but we found 1-stop return flights from £1299* per person, so you could get a weeklong cruise from £2704 per person.

We enjoyed an excellent cruise of several islands in Fiji with South Sea Cruises, specifically Blue Lagoon Cruises. We started off with a very enjoyable day trip to MalaMala Island included with our 7 day cruise. The island, facilities, food and drink, and staff were splendid. We were promptly met at the airport and transported to the port, checked in with South Sea Cruise where our main bags were sent directly to the ship, and then we waited about one hour before being transported on high speed cat to MalaMala. Great day, and then a quick transport directly to cruise ship, Fiji Princess. Everything on the cruise was well organized and executed. The staff were excellent, and each day brought many fun on board and ashore activities. We were fortunate to visit several villages and a school. All of the Fijians were so welcoming and friendly! We enjoyed many beach visits and snorkel excursions, both off tenders and off the beach. One day, we even enjoyed a nice hike on an island owned by Blue Lagoon, and we also experienced a Lovo (like a luau) and excellent snorkeling off of that beach.

The itinerary was amazing! It was amazing to cruise among the Yasawa Islands on a small ship with an incredibly friendly and caring crew. The ship itself isn't spectacular and shows it's age and the food isn't 5-star but once you get over that, the opportunity to snorkel at least one and usually two reefs each day, different beautiful beaches each day and seeing the islands pass by during the day as you sail between them makes up for it. There were also cultural visits to (and from) Fijian villages that made us feel genuinely welcome in Fiji. Every night they anchor in a cove or bay that is sheltered so ship movement is reduced but not eliminated and because it's a small ship you really feel the swell when underway so if you're prone to seasickness take appropriate measures! We'd love to go back some day!

We enjoyed our cruise but would definitely give a heads up on some things for future cruisers. We loved the small cruise ship experience but if you've ever been on a large cruise ship this is not the same. You won't have the same amenities & we found 7 days a bit too long for the accommodations. We would recommend the 4 day cruise-you get their private island experience & visiting a Fijian school which were the 2 highlights for us. The staff was amazing & so accommodating. The room was very small-none of them have balconies-& the bathroom had a 24/7 urine odor that was extremely unpleasant. In speaking to other guests it was hit & miss if you were one of the unlucky ones to have a smelly bathroom:( It was interesting that the cruisers they seem to attract are older because it is a very hard ship to get in & out of for excursions. They only have small tender boats to take you to & from shore & during rough seas it is a scary experience to transfer from the ship to the tenders. Many of us had a difficult time. If you don't have good upper body strength you will find it very difficult. They definitely feed you well! Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner & desserts. We never went hungry. Overall, we really enjoyed the majority of our experience but would definitely recommend the 4 day cruise.

Is there a way to address the bathroom urine smell situation? It really put a damper on our experience.

This definitely ranks in the top of all the vacations we've ever been on. It was so nice to have everything included--we were never charged anything additional for a number of amazing excursions. But what really made it the best was the staff. They constantly went out of their way to make this the best vacation ever!
