Why We Love This Deal

Nepal is the reason bucket lists were created. It's home to eight of the ten tallest mountains in the world and some of Earth's rarest and most elusive wildlife along with one of its most closely guarded cultures. To truly experience its wonders, this fascinating country is best explored by foot. With this deal for travel until 2024, you can pick one of three guided treks to visit some of the top sites — yes, that includes Mount Everest — from £375 per person.

International flights are not included, but we found 1-stop return flights (direct flights are not available) to Kathmandu from £687*, so you could get a 10-night tour including flights from £1062 per person.

"I was immensely impressed with my guide from the very first day due to his knowledge of the mountains to his English skills along with his perfect timing to keep me from falling. You should all book Ang Dawa Sherpa as your guide. Trekking in the Himalayan Mountains was an extraordinary experience that I will never forget. Almost every day we walked 6-7 hours except for the first leg which was 3-4 hours from Lukla to Phakding. There was quite a lot of climbing so much more than I would have liked, but it makes sense as you have to gain elevation. There were times I had a hard time breathing, but I was able to go at my own pace and every time I was rewarded with a beautiful view of a village, gorgeous stupas, a yak parade or just the views of mountains themselves. The opportunities for photographs were all around us and coming down it was like the forest had awakened as the scenery was different with newly formed waterfalls and rhododendrons that had blossomed with spring barely begining. If you are asking yourself if you can do this. You can 100% CAN!!! I didn't think I would survive the flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla and I was writing apologies and saying goodbye to friends and family the night before dreading the trek wondering what I signed up for. As it turns out I survived not only the incoming flight, but also the outgoing flight. Previous to coming to Nepal, I had worn in my hiking boots for ten miles on the treadmill plus I had worn my trekking bag and hiking boots at the zoo for a few hours so I was ready or so I thought. Oh how wrong I was, I was actually out of shape with being a mother of three having good intentions to go to the gym, but life got in the way as it does. I pushed myself each and everyday knowing that I had walked and climbed the previous day so it got easier. Plus once it was midday we stopped for lunch and then we went a bit longer and then it was time to rest from 3:30/ 4PM onwards until the next morning. That made it all worth it plus eating delicious dal bhat or momos for dinner. After twelve days of continuous trekking we had gone about 10 miles a day. Once I got home after a day and a half of traveling I checked my statistics at the gym. I had lost 10 pounds and lost 8% body fat. That is pretty impressive. I didn't trek to Everest Base Camp to lose weight, but that was a nice bonus. It was more of a journey of self discovery realizing who I am when I away from my roles from home. You all should trek to Everest Base Camp so you too can stand at 17,585 feet. It is so much more though as you can get a glimpse of those living in remote villages, eat delicious food, see porters and animals at work, view wildlife, cross high bridges, and be extremely proud of yourself after you have completed the adventure. Bhagwat was a pleasure to work with and he will ensure your time in Nepal is a worthwhile and meaningful experience."

13 days Everest base camp trip – we had excellent and unforgettable trekking experience. The trip itinerary and schedule was very well thought out so acclimatization and adjustment to altitude worked well for our group. The main guide and assistant guide were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Every day we got clear instructions for the day including weather conditions and what layers to wear or pack. While the group has different speed, the slower hikers were never left walking alone, were always accompanied by the assistant guide or sherpa. The guide was very attentive to the needs of the group and on many occasions went above and beyond expected. What I would change if I were to go again would be booking guesthouses with toilets inside the room (there were such options even at high villages like Gorakshep at 5146m). Overall, it was a great trip!

It was an incredible experience. I went with my two daughters ages 25 and 23. Bagwat worked closely with me up front to answer all of my questions re: medications, equipment, tipping, money exchange, etc. He arranged for tours in Kathmandu that were a fraction of what they would have cost on Trip Advisor. Our guide Prakash was fantastic, carrying my pack up hills, loaning my daughter his walking stick when her knee hurt, even holding my other daughter’s hair when she threw up (after refusing altitude sickness pills. Our porter Nima after carrying out bags came back to look for us, and went with us to base camp to lead me back so my girls could stay behind with Prakash to take more pictures. They were warm, kind, patient and very knowledgeable. It was physically very demanding but I wouldn’t want to go with any other group.
