It was a rainy Saturday mid morning, last October weekend. Overall the experience is good, in terms of discovery of the process of making English wine from the vineyard to the taste of ready bottled wine. It's definitely on pricy side compare with equal or even greater quality wines from sunny Spain/Portugal! Staff & service was great, however what has let the whole experience down is the amount of people was present in the relatively small room -over 30 &lack of nibbles (only cheese biscuits if you are lucky - 1.5 per person but no cheese or cold meat ! Well .... Have had tasted 5 different wines starting at 11am by the end of the experience the room became very very loud with loads of giggles(alcohol on empty stomach my guess). Some room for an improvement ?!
Other Comments
Less quantity but more quality oriented wine tasting experience and definitely more that just a dry cheese biscuit per head nibbles or advice to guests to bring your own nibbles !! And to put red wine on the tasing list. Well...if you are producing/advertising it proudly so lets us try it, we are the final consumer in the end of the day.

Lovely location and facilities. Instructive tour and presentation with wonderful wines to taste. The guide/host was informative but casual and we had a really nice evening. The tasting room was warm with a log burner, well lit and clean. The toilets spotless. We had a lovely evening.
Other Comments
Beware of drinking and driving (nominate a driver). Sadly I had to let my wife drink most of mine but we did purchase a taster box of wine for the comfort of our own home.

Given the experience as a gift, booked very easily, made our way there with good directions, arrived on site surrounded by breathtaking views of the Woodchester valley. The Sparkling Wine tour and tasting; possibly made better because we were the only 3 people there and had the delight to be shown round by owner Fiona. The experience delivered by Woodchester is very informative and engaging, well planned and really showcases English wine making. The 4 sparkling wines we tasted were surprisingly good, my lingering feeling was these wines tasted better because I knew the journey from breaking ground to bottle. What Fiona and her family/team have created from scratch in 12 years in this beautiful spot is admirable and i would recommend it to all.
