  • This Queen Anne-style property is set in 12 acres of gardens, which include a private indoor swimming pool in a conservatory (open until the end of September), a tennis court, and paddocks where the owners' ponies graze. Very friendly staff, good service and lovely food. The hotel is however very dated and in need of a major renovation especially the bathrooms. Having said that the bedrooms are large and very comfortable. We thought it was good value for the price we paid.

Refreshingly different with traditional delights long abandoned by many hotels. We loved everything about it, but especially the spacious and well stocked room, friendly staff and the excellent meals.

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Very much appreciated the attention to detail..... fruit , iced water, real tea and coffee in bedroom and bath robes in bathroom. And really excellent food! Loved the old world atmosphere. We will return.

Friendly staff, exceptional food and good service. Worth the visit, despite rooms being tired. However, rooms of a good size, comfortable and clean. Lovely to sit outside by the pond and enjoy afternoon tea or evening drinks.
