More Reasons to Go
- Torquay is a traditional seaside town in South Devon. It boasts a charming waterfront, plenty of dining options, and a Victorian museum. The museum has exhibits of local history and a gallery dedicated to Agatha Christie.
- The property was built as a summer home for Russia's last tzar, Nicholas Romanov. It has original design features like mosaic floors, elegant arches, and carved wood columns. The surrounding two acres of manicured gardens have breathtaking views across the Channel.
- Fans of the crime writer can walk the Agatha Christie Mile along Torquay's seafront. Visit places that inspired her life and work, including Princess Gardens from "The ABC Murders".
- Step back in time with a ride aboard the Babbacombe Cliff Railway. Built in 1926, the funicular railway connects Babbacombe Downs with Oddicombe Beach. It offers fabulous bay views and is less than 10 minutes' drive from the hotel.
- Cockington Country Park is an expansive estate just 15 minutes' drive away. It encompasses a historic manor, ornamental lakes, an 11th-century church, and a chocolate box village. Explore it on foot or by bike.

Really nice hotel in lovely setting on headland. Food was excellent couldn't fault. Room was poor but guess that was due to low price deal. Over kitchen and very noisey. Beds superb. Bathrooms could definitely do with an update. Shower awful and curtain very grubby! We enjoyed our stay on whole but not all good so a night or two at most enough.

From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely afternoon tea in the lounge which had beautiful views as did our room. Food was excellent. Would definitely return.
