There wasn't as much variety on the afternnon tea as at other places.

Limited availability - difficult to book a day we wanted
Other Comments
Very difficult to contact by phone to make a booking. We were told the tea rooms were fully booked for weeks - we accepted the only available slot, but the place was empty. One other couple in the tearoom and may be half a dozen in the grounds

There is a wonderful tranquility about the venue even in the rain - very pleasant to roam about.

The staff were really lovely and helpful in every area whilst we were there and the guided tour was very informative and professionally carried out.

Great trip out with our Grandaughter. Voucher covers entry to grounds £7 each and the afternoon tea for 2. Our Grandaughter needed gluten free and they allowed us to take food for her. Great staff and ambiance in the orangery. Food was basic but fresh and nicely presented with a good choice of which cake slice you wanted. Refill drinks. Grounds are lovely to wander through and house tour is available at additional cost. We had a lovely morning and would recommend this visit. Early booking advised as it it booked up in advance. Don’t leave it until voucher is close to expiring.

Lovely place, we would have liked to look around the grounds for longer but sadly it was raining and quite cool. The staff were nice and the food was nice enough, but no home baking here.

Very few slots were available. We wanted to go as a group of 4 but the couldn’t accommodate us so we had to go on separate days. Only 11.15am slots available, so not really an ‘afternoon’ tea. Annoyingly while we were there there was only one other couple so it’s hard to understand why they couldn’t accommodate 4 people. On a positive note, the abbey and grounds were lovely and the food was very nice.

First visit. Lovely location. Afternoon tea was good but not great. In my opinion, I would not return as I don't feel there is anything else to offer for a second visit.
