All-round excellent experience. Good directions and top tip to look for brown signage. So easy to 'pay' with the confirmation email - staff just scanned the QR code and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful house with so much history - we had a fantastic guide (Susan I think) who brought it all alive. Gardens looking immaculate and wonderful to stroll around with my 78 year old mum. All finished off with stunning coffee and cakes in the friendly café. House may not be suitable for children - difficult as an adult to not touch things, as all so interesting and homely. But, plenty of room, open areas and wriggly paths, plus play park to let children run about in a beautiful place in nature. Would recommend visiting, probably allow 2-4 hours, depending on how far you want to walk. Voucher was great value for two people.

Visited with a group of friends in October . Some of us went on tour of house. Did not need to book in advance. The tour lasted 1 hour. The tour guide was excellent. The rest of our group walked round the gardens with the dogs as they are not allowed in the house.

The little bee hive indentations in the wall where what is now the carpark , had us guessing, wished the shop & book shop stayed open a little longer as we missed having a look in them , maybe next time
