The "beautiful" (Manchester Evening News) building dates back to around 1900 and the owners, Sir Aubrey Brocklebank, Chairman of The Brocklebank Line, and his wife Lady Grace Brocklebank, used to host parties for the elite of Edwardian society.

I had to ‘phone Nunsmere Hall a few times before somebody answered to book this experience. When I spoke to someone, they were extremely helpful. The Hall is beautiful, and set in lovely countryside.
The quality of the Afternoon Tea was excellent. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We’d definitely go back, especially on a Travelzoo deal!

Beautiful surroundings on drive up to the hall, and stunning old house at the end, reception staff were very welcoming and we were led to our table straight away. Decor was very much the period of the building classy, and well decorated, and a lovely ambience. The waiting on staff were in abundance and very friendly and attentive. The food was DELICIOUS, couldn't fault it and considering the voucher made it half price we couldn't have asked for anything more. Would definitely go back and even better if we saw a deal for an overnight stay too !

Easy to book and staff were superb. We were booked for 12 moon and after a short wait went through. It got quite busy later but that didn’t affect the food or the service. The food was delicious and hot. Have already bought another voucher to go back!

We had to ask for salt and pepper as there wasn't any on the table. We ordered roast beef so asked 3 different servers for horseradish but none arrived (one of the servers we asked was dressed in a different uniform like a supervisor??)

Probably the best roast beef Sunday dinner I have ever eaten out! The lightest Yorkshire pud, tender beef, and plenty of it, crispy roasties, and the tastiest veg, together with a rich beef gravy......yum. We had the risotto starter, also so tasty. We had the 2 course Travelzoo deal for £29 which was such good value when compared to the menu price. We would definitely go back, with or without the deal, we enjoyed it that much.

The meal was excellent as was the service etc,, however the voucher explains you will eat in the Crystal restaurant and we didn’t. We also asked if tree could have a drink in the bar before dining? Their reply “ you can have a drink at the table”!

From the minute we entered the property we were made extremely comfortable and welcome. The staff were very friendly and made sure that our requirements were fully met.
The food was beautifully prepared and presented.
After lunch we had an enjoyable stroll around the gardens. We would have liked to sit in one of the lovely lounge rooms but unfortunately we didn’t have the time.
We will definitely be looking out for this offer again as it was such good value for money.

The slightly negative comment I have is on the ease of booking. I don’t feel able to give it five stars as when I phoned to make the booking I was told that the only availability left was for the 25th June, the final day of the offer, yet I had phoned immediately after receiving my voucher in April. It would have been nice to have a wider choice of timing.

Overall we enjoyed the experience, Nunsmere Hall is in a beautiful setting and all the staff were professional and attentive. We were conscious that this was a one time special offer, but it did not detract from our enjoyment.

There is just a minor issue with our roast dinners - there were very generous amounts of gravy !! We thought the plates would be better served without gravy but accompanied with a gravy boat so folks can serve themselves with however much they want.

My voucher ran out due to my Mum being in hospital, Nunsmere Hall were good and gracious enough to honour our booking, it was a lovely treat for us, my Mum really enjoyed herself, I would definitely recommend this venue, they went above and beyond for us.

With the voucher it was a reasonable price, there was not a great amount of food - 4 tiny scones with only 1 small tub of clotted cream, plus cakes and 4 small finger sandwiches each, but it was tasty and presented well .

The food was very good and the surroundings/hotel were in an excellent location. The staff were friendly/polite, but perhaps inexperienced.

The very poor service. We had to wait a number of times for various items eg took 25 minutes to get our water and nobody had been to ask us what we would like to drink (other than water). When we placed the order for wine it took another 20 minutes to arrive, after our starter had been served. We then had to remind them about our main meal and it was nearly 2 hours from the time we had arrived that we eventually left.
