My Dad was a police officer and spent last 5 years service at lock up before it became a museum. I would have like to have seen more policing in the 80s and 90s. There were lots of historical back to my grandfathers day, and some modern, but not really the 80s and 90s policing. I still loved it anyhow and the gift shop is superb.

I enjoyed my visit though there was a great deal of reading which I will acknowledge is the nature of this type of museum.
Other Comments
We had some difficulty in getting into the Museum as firstly there was no sign up outside when we arrived so we were not sure of where to go - a sign did appear later - the entrance door we thought we needed to use was locked.

Excellent attraction, staff very friendly and informative. There were volunteers on hand along with retired officers that actually worked in the station that explained exactly how the station worked on a day to day basis. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

It is a shame this museum is not advertised more. It was a great experience. We had such a lovely day trying on the police uniforms and taking our fingerprints. The staff were very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. I would really recommend a visit to this little treasure.
