Use of the hotel spa is included for all guests; facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and gym with Technogym equipment. Ristorante Salgari serves fine Italian cuisine and local specialities. Wi-Fi is free.
You'll fly into Verona and transfer from the airport to Hotel Saccardi & Spa.
After breakfast the next day, you'll take a tour of a wine cellar in the Valpolicella wine-growing region, which is known for producing soft, medium-bodied red wines with sour and bitter notes. You'll try three different types of wine, as well as cheese, then take a tour of the wine cellar and learn how the wine is produced.
The following day, travel by train to Venice. You'll spend a whole day exploring The Floating City and take a gondola ride on the famous canals to see the city's beauty from the water. A handful of must-see attractions include the view of the Grand Canal from the Rialto Bridge, the Doge's Palace, St Mark's Square, with its Basilica and Campanile, and the Bridge of Sighs.
After breakfast the next day, you'll take a private transfer to the town of Peschiera del Garda, a resort town on the southern shore of Lake Garda. There, you can relax on Bracco Baldo Beach, visit the historic mountainside church of Sanctuary of Madonna della Corona or take a walk along the lake shore.
On day five, head into the city of Verona and visit the Roman amphitheatre of Arena di Verona, avoiding the queues with your skip-the-line tickets. An English-speaking tour guide will take you through the arena's grand arches and teach you about the history of the arena, which was built in the first century AD and is still in use today.
On your final day, transfer from the hotel to the airport.
