The managers say all the right things, but I think it’s got so bad they don’t really know where to start, the housekeeping and Maintenance lets it down mainly.

Slug on bedroom carpet, cracked tiles, spiders and flies, and a hot basin tap that ran all the time, toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, there is at least a 2cm gap under the door that the wind blows through, the bed slopes on one side and we had an intruder at 3am that subsequently turned out to be one of the wedding party guests, that had helped themselves to the keys from reception and we’re looking for empty rooms! Scared me half to death. They promised an upgrade so we waited until 3pm on the Saturday and when we entered the bathroom there was coffee or something like it, just thrown in the basin. We had had enough by that point and are awaiting a refund. No sleep, dirty and staff that appear to be past caring, couldn’t wait to get home and showered.

Surprisingly nice inside main hotel, well decorated. The room was good size but smelt a bit damp, and had cobwebs on ceiling, the door stuck and we couldn't open it, had to call reception to open it. The shower was cold, it was reported. The hotel overall was pleasant. One of the breakfasts wasn't cooked properly, but overall breakfast had plenty of choice and was good. Hotel not very busy which was ok as out of season. Some staff seemed very young and inexperienced, but polite and pleasant. I would go back if it was a Travel Zoo deal as it was an amazing deal, but if I had paid full price I may have complained about some of those issues.

It is well situated for touring the area, the drive up to the hotel had large potholes!! and really needs re surfacing.

Bathrooms a little tired, but had one of the longest baths I have wallowed in

Drive into shingle premises not very welcoming - pot holes galore. Staff say hoping to replace with tarmac due to rain causing stones to shift.

Quirky hotel, interesting features. The rooms could do with a bit of a facelift but comfortable enough.
The restaurant was pleasant and the dinner greatly exceeded our expectations. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
