Overview

Milan is Italy's business hub, a centre of art, commerce, design, finance and entertainment. It is a "fast-paced metropolis" where "looking good is an art form" (Lonely Planet). The city is well-known for its football teams, such as A.C. Milan and F.C. Internazionale, and it hosts large events, fairs including the Milan Fashion Week.

Hotel Nasco provides an ideal base from which to easily explore different parts of town -- trams and buses stop just outside, while both Domodossola and Gerusalemme underground stations are only a 5-minute walk away. Milano Convention Centre (MiCo), one of the largest conference and event venues in Europe, and the new CityLife Shopping District, where a mall and an open-air promenade is filled with inviting stores and restaurants, is about 10 minutes on foot from the hotel.

A 25-minute walk or a short tram ride can take you to Sempione Park that covers 40 acres and provides a gentle respite from the rush of the city. The 15th-century Sforzesco Castle is adjacent to this green space and houses several museums, such as The Museum of Ancient Art, the Archeological and the Egyptian Museum.

The historic city centre can be reached by public transport, in about 20 minutes. This lively district is home to the Duomo, a gothic cathedral, adorned with spires and statues. The opulent Royal Palace is just a few steps away and serves as a cultural hub, hosting exhibitions. The neoclassical Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a four-storey shopping arcade nearby, is known for its high-end boutiques and dining options. The world-famous La Scala opera house is another iconic landmark, located in the same area.

The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. Spacious, airconditioned guestrooms are decorated in neutral colours and provide free Wi-Fi, LCD TV and in-room safe.

Pleasant hotel. Clean and convenient. Breakfast was good but the same every morning. Was unaware of tourist tax which added €40 to our bill on checkout. Not a great finish to our weekend. Also overcharged in the restaurant on our final bill which was also irritating.
Other Comments
Make charges on the menu clearer. Mention tourist tax on arrival. Provide a bath.

Nice hotel but a non alcoholic bar meant having to go out for a glass of wine which proved a bit of a chore
