Hotel Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort is a 5-star property in Morocco’s coastal city of Agadir -- “the country’s premier destination for sun, sand, pubs and pizza”, according to Lonely Planet. The luxury hotel is on a private beach, 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre, and has a contemporary design with Moroccan features such as fountains and riads.
There are four restaurants, serving a mix of Japanese, French, Spanish and Moroccan cuisine -- including a poolside lounge bar for light meals and drinks throughout the day. There are also three bars to suit every mood, whether you’re after cosy sofas and tapas, DJs and dancing or cocktails and live music.
You can book a range of treatments at the Thalassa spa, including massages and traditional Hammams (fees apply). There is also an outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees, sun beds and hammocks, plus a golf course and tennis courts (fees apply). Other convenient onsite facilities include a cash machine, a currency exchange, a beauty salon and a gift shop.
The hotel can also arrange a variety of activities to make the most of the property's coastal location, such as wind surfing, jet skiing and kayaking (fees apply). Alternatively, you can simply relax on the private beach.
Rooms are elegantly designed and have a Moroccan influence, with exotic wood furnishings and colourful rich fabrics. Wi-Fi is free.
