Overview

The New Inn offers "stylish" (The AA) rooms and award-winning cuisine in the countryside setting of Great Limber in North East Lincolnshire. Part of the 27,000-acre Brocklesby Estate, the Grade II-listed property reopened in November, 2018. You can take woodland walks on the estate, while the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is 10 minutes' drive away and the pretty 19th-century windmill in Waltham is around 15 minutes' drive. Grimsby and the seaside town of Cleethorpes are both 25 minutes' drive from the hotel, while Hull city centre, home to "fascinating" (Lonely Planet) museums and an "excellent" aquarium, is around 40 minutes' drive away.

Flagstone floors, marble fireplaces and antique-style furnishings characterise The New Inn’s interiors, which include a cosy bar serving local ales and a snug with a library. Its 2-AA-Rosette restaurant serves an "interesting choice of vibrant dishes" (The AA) prepared using produce grown on the estate, and has modern art and trendy lighting. There’s also a patio in the landscaped garden for al fresco dining.

The "smart" (The AA) guestrooms have dark wood furnishings and some rooms have sitting areas, fireplaces and bathtubs.

45 mins drive to Lincoln which is worth a visit. Hotel restaurant and separate bar all really lovely. Book the snug, comfy and a bit private. Great stay here.

the beds and pillows were very comfortable rooms were nice with just a problem with the shower as the water was so powerful that it was hard to turn on without causing a flood unless you stood underneath it

The staff were friendly but the breakfast was a little strange with no menu available and options were repeated by the waiting staff, those who wanted cereal (wheatabix and granola) was brought to them with the milk already on! They had run out of porridge so I asked for some toast but didn't get any marmalade or jam. I think you will have to be quite precise as to your requirements when ordering your food and drinks if you want to put your own amount of tonic in your G & T and not get it swamped!

The evening meal was exceptional. Could not fault it. The restaurant was very busy with locals so to us that is a good indication of good food.
