The Chess Hotel is near some of Paris's best-loved attractions, including the Palais Garnier opera house and Galeries Lafayette department store. If you visit the Palais Garnier, don't forget to look up -- there's a beautiful bronze and glass chandelier and a ceiling fresco painted by Marc Chagall.
The Folies Bergère theatre and the Grand Rex cinema, the largest cinema theatre in Europe, are a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is 15 minutes' stroll from The Louvre. It’s also only a few steps from Opéra Metro stop, making it easy to get around the city.
Despite being located in a bustling area of Paris, the hotel is on a quiet street. The interiors by design duo Gilles and Boissier feature bold artwork and black and white chessboard-style marble floor in the lobby.
Rooms are decorated with works by French photographer Pierre-Elie de Pibrac. These behind-the-scenes pictures of dancers at the Palais Garnier are not exhibited to the public anywhere else.
Facilities include a snack bar and a cocktail lounge.
