Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community
Why We Love This Hotel
- A 2.5-hour drive from Victoria which has ferry links from Seattle
- The chef at the on-site restaurant recently won a Lifetime Achievement Award from EAT Magazine
- Villas line the first fairway and have views of the coastal mountain range
- The championship 18-hole golf course is open year-round
Located on over 800 acres of wooded area and rolling greens in the heart of Comox Valley, this resort hotel has 90 villa suites nestled in the trees along the first fairway. Villas are steps from the amenities at the Resort Centre and have balcony or patio access to the fairway -- some have Jacuzzi tubs, full kitchens, living rooms and gas fireplaces.
Dining on site at The Timber Room Bar & Grill comes with expansive views. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows and a sprawling patio that overlooks the 18th green. In cooler weather, guests can cozy up at the indoor fireplace section. Besides the views, the dishes are a main attraction -- Executive Chef Sean Brennan’s longstanding passion for using local and seasonal ingredients recently won him an EAT Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award.
Whether you’re an avid golfer or not, there’s reason to take a swing here. This year marks the fifth straight year the resort has hosted The Mackenzie Tour - PGA Tour Canada qualifying school -- as Times Colonist puts it, “the road to pro golf goes through Crown Isle.”
