Overview

Huntingdon Manor, inspired by early 20th-century hotels, was the family home of mineworker William Joseph Pendray and is surrounded by rose and topiary gardens, ponds and cobblestone pathways.

Breakfast is served in Hunter's Restaurant; think waffles, poached or scrambled eggs and yogurt parfait.

The location is great -- it's slightly tucked away from the busy harbour, yet only a 5-minute walk from Victoria's main hub. The Victoria Clipper, which journeys between Seattle and Vancouver, docks opposite the hotel.

Victoria, B.C.'s capital, is home to 125-year-old heritage buildings, art galleries, museums, boutique shops, public parks and gardens and a vibrant dining scene, making this an ideal destination for a short getaway.

The location was great, close to the water and Fishermans Wharf.

I left my electric toothbrush in the room, and the cleaning staff did not find it, so I am assuming someone kept it.

Older hotel, needs updating. Hot breakfast is either 2 eggs, 2 bacon , toast or pancakes, 2 bacon or yoghurt, few berries, touch of granola. All with juice and coffee.

Overall, it was a great experience.

The room we stayed in was the part of the hotel connected to Guest Services. The room was a little dated BUT worth the price and how close it was to all the things to see and do downtown! There are ‘themed era’ rooms in the other building for approx $50 more per night. We didn’t get to see them. The grounds of the Huntington were beautiful!

Besides a billing issue which was fixed, it was a comfortable stay. It was clean, quiet, close to everything and staff was polite and helpful. We would stay again

Mattress was very hard and made a good nights sleep challenging. The breakfast was good but portions were small. Maybe because we had a coupon for free breakfast?
