"The location can't be beat, that's the biggest advantage. It has a huge parking garage and there's no need to take your car in and out, everything is in walking distance. The room is fine, nothing spectacular. However, the pillows are abysmal. There were 3 of us and we all woke up with stuff necks and shoulders. Bring your own!"

Overview

Situated two blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District is a history buff's dream destination: In the neighborhood are the National Constitution Center, the Museum of the American Revolution and the Benjamin Franklin Museum. There's also Elfreth's Alley -- Conde Nast Traveler calls it the "one of the prettiest streets" in the Old City -- plus loads of restaurants, more than 50 art galleries and high-end boutique shopping available on Market Street.

Inside, the hotel blends elements of its storied environs with a distinctly modern design sensibility: The bright white, open lobby is offset by royal blue wing-back chairs and artwork inspired from the preamble to the Declaration of Independence. Guest rooms decorated with oak furnishings and photos of Philly's most famous sites offer views of downtown. They also have modern necessities like flat-screen TVs and Wolfgang Puck coffee, plus marble countertops in the bathrooms.

Overall good. The room could use some air freshener and the pillows should be replaced or cleaned more often - there was an unpleasant odor to them.

I asked for an ADA room and when we arrived they said they only had an ADA room with one bed, a single. When I booked they called the hotel to make sure and they said they had them, then I called the Friday before our arrival and again no problem When I arrived they did not have a ADA room to accommodate my family had to find a room with two double beds. The doorways were too narrow and had to take my daughter off a wheelchair and onto a regular chair to get into the room A very upsetting way to go on vacation

We were very glad to have the free parking; the room was no more than three star...the lamp outlet didn't work and the wall outlet was coming away from the wall...the pillows weren't great..it was just satisfactory. I was pleased at the restaurant list they gave us.
