The Millennium Madejski Hotel Reading is a sleek and "stylish hotel" (The AA) that is a fantastic base for exploring the historic towns of Windsor and Henley, as well as the countryside of Berkshire and the Thames Valley. The hotel is on the outskirts of Reading, adjacent to the Madejski Stadium, home to both Reading FC and the London Irish rugby team.
From the hotel, the royal residence of Windsor Castle, and Legoland Windsor are both less than 30 minutes' drive away. Beale Park, an outdoor wildlife park set against the River Thames, and the National Trust's Basildon Park, a 1950s home within an 18th-century house are a 25-minute drive away.
Stanlake Park Wine Estate, where you can take a tour the vineyard and winery, and Silchester Roman City Walls and Amphitheatre, are also 25 minutes' drive away.
