The 2-AA-Rosette restaurant serves classic British dishes with a modern French influence. You can eat in the formal restaurant or outside on the heated terrace in good weather. Afternoon tea is served daily (supplements apply), and make sure to check out Fredrick's Bar and its Gin Pantry for an eclectic selection of gins from around the world, served neat, on the rocks or with tonic water and fresh raspberries.
Fredrick's spa boasts an indoor/outdoor pool, a steam room, a relaxation area and sun loungers (minimum age to use the spa is 16; minimum age for treatments is 18).
Windsor is less than 20 minutes' drive away. You can head to the High Street to watch the Changing of the Guards ceremony on certain days, take a tour of the Royal castle or explore Windsor Great Park, 4800 acres roamed by deer.
Ascot Racecourse and the pretty riverside towns of Sonning, Henley and Marlow are all less than 20 minutes' drive from the hotel. Reading, known for the ruins of the 12th-century abbey built by Henry I and its restaurants along the river, is around 25 minutes' drive.
