Overview

The MGM Grand towers over the Strip with five towers stretching 30 stories high. One of the largest hotels in the world, the AAA 4-Diamond property has over 5,000 rooms with nine different lodging options.

All accommodations are decorated with modern décor, glass surfaces and marble bathrooms. Upgraded options include suites with luxuries like living rooms, whirlpool bathtubs, dining rooms and private terraces. Occupying the hotel’s top two floors are Skylofts with separate check-in, butler service, airport transfers and preferred seating at top restaurants and the property’s Cirque du Soleil show, "KÀ." Families and health-conscious travelers can reserve Stay Well rooms with antimicrobial surfaces, hypoallergenic linens, air purification systems, vitamin-C showers and dawn-simulating alarm clocks.

With more than 20 restaurants on site, guests can choose between budget-friendly buffets and family options or splurge on cuisine prepared by celebrity chefs like Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. Concerts and boxing matches are held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena while major entertainers like Calvin Harris and Tiesto also perform regularly at the resort. The Grand Pool Complex is one of the world’s largest pool decks with five pools, three whirlpools, a lazy river and a topless sunbathing area called the “Wet Republic Ultra Pool.” After dark, guests can dance until dawn at one of the night clubs or try to win their fortune at the huge casino.

Room given was nothing less than disgusting. Was not able to upgrade rooms due to hotel being already overbooked. Ended up staying at an entirely different hotel.

The fact that we pay a DAILY resort fee and they nickel and dime you for simple requests. We asked for champagne glasses in our room and we were charged. We asked for a wine bottle opener in our room and we were told that they don’t provide them, they sell them. Really? What happened to the days of “you forgot to pack something? Call out front desk and we’ve got you covered.” You’d think that the resiculous resort fee would cover a simple cheap bottle opener. Poor service... another reason to simply skip the hotel industry and Airbnb it.
