Located in downtown New Haven, the Omni is around the corner from Yale University’s campus, half a block from the New Haven Town Green and within a 20-minute walk of the Shubert Theater, Peabody Museum of Natural History and downtown’s boutique shops.
Accommodations include flat-screen TVs, desks, minifridges and coffee makers; Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee and is free for rewards members. Guests can upgrade to suites featuring living rooms with sofa beds, and some rooms have views of the college campus or Long Island Sound.
On the 19th floor, John Davenport’s at the Top of the Park serves upscale New England cuisine against a backdrop of stunning city views, while cocktails and small plates can be enjoyed in the adjacent bar. Morsel’s, located in the lobby, opens early as a coffee shop before switching roles to pour wine in the evenings Monday through Saturday.
Overnight visitors have 24-hour access to the on-site fitness center, which includes complimentary water, fruit, towels and locker rooms with locks. After a workout, guests can unwind with a face or body treatment at the spa or refresh their look at the salon.
To make young guests feel at home, the hotel welcomes kids with backpacks carrying sticker books, crayons and games upon check-in and tucks them in with milk and cookies before bedtime on the first night of their stay.
