Set in a Victorian building on the granite cliffs of Land's End, The Land's End Hotel has "stunning" (The AA) panoramic views of Longships Lighthouse and the Celtic Sea.
The hotel is on the Penwith Heritage Coast with Sennen Cove and Sennen Beach both less than 45 minutes' walk away along the South West Coast Path, which runs in front of the hotel. Enys Dodnan Arch -- a rock formation similar to Durdle Door -- is less than 30 minutes' walk away.
The pretty village of Porthcurno, home to "arguably the county's most beautiful bay" (The Daily Telegraph) with its pristine white-sand beaches and rugged cliffs, is less than 15 minutes' drive away.
The Land's End Hotel has an "impressive" (The AA) restaurant with "amazing" views out to sea, and you can visit for a coffee, a drink, dinner or the Cornish Cream Tea. Alternatively, you can relax with a book on a sofa in the lounge.
The AA says rooms are "pleasantly decorated" and some have "stunning" sea views. Wi-Fi is free.

Fabulous staff, very attentive. Nice communal areas and comfortable room.

There are some renovated rooms that are fantastic. My room, though comfortable was not renovated and was chilly and the bathroom was freezing. The addition of a heater from the lovely staff soon turned it into a much nicer room.

Our room was Admiral Boston, and was very well appointed, with four-posted bed and slipper bath, all we wanted for our Golden Wedding anniversary. The evening meal was not brilliant, but the breakfasts were superb. Lovely staff.

Not a lot of atmosphere in the bar/dining area we felt like we were in a canteen. There was no background music, and they were short staffed so most of the time the bar person was the waiter, so we were waiting for drinks for a while.

A number of rooms / corridors appear to have been refurbished. It was disappointing to be placed in an older room so the Travelzoo deal was probably not much of a saving. The bathroom was dated and we found the carpet not well cleaned. The bar area is more of as canteen than hotel standard

WiFi was not working for the entirety of our stay, contrary to the hotel and room descriptions when we booked, and we were thus unable to work even though it was a working holiday. Our room had mildew and mould in the bathroom and a broken door, which made us feel unsafe. The location, breakfast and cream tea could not be beat, though!

Other Comments
The hotel itself is a bit tired and dated and in need of a bit of TLC. That said there is nothing wrong with the room that we had (#8). No additional facilities such as pool or spa. Bar area was a bit lacking in atmosphere and canteen like. Got very busy at breakfast time in the restaurant, arrive early or have a wait for food ordered from the kitchen. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff were great.

We reqjuested a Seaview room as it was our Golden Wedding Anniversary, but message wasn't passed on by yourselves. So we were very disappointed. Also had to wait ages in restaurant for evening meal, which was luke warm when it arrived and overcooked, again very disappointing and very small portions. Pet friendly and the staff really did make our dog welcome, which then enabled us to enjoy our time at the hotel. Obviously the environment is a huge draw. We live in Cornwall but love to travel to Lands End and walk around the area. It was the offer of a pet friendly hotel that made our decision to stay overnight.
