Lyric Hotel Paris
Why We Love This Hotel
- Well-located hotel that opened in 2014
- Décor inspired by the nearby Opéra Garnier
- There’s a small pool and spa on site & free Wi-Fi throughout
- Legendary department store, Galeries Lafayette, is nearby
New in 2014, the colourful Lyric Hotel is a welcome addition to the Parisian hotel scene. Taking its design cue from the nearby Opéra Garnier, the decor at the bright modern hotel is based on the dual themes of music and art.
Set on a quiet side street, the hotel is handily located near top Paris sights such as the Louvre, Palais Royal and the Tuileries Gardens. Legendary Parisian department stores Galeries Lafayette and Printemps are a short walk away. There are also two metro stops within five minutes on foot for trips further afield.
The rooms, which are relatively spacious for Paris, resemble dance studios with wooden parquet floors and mirrors spanning the walls, along with vividly coloured headboards and armchairs. Images of ballerinas are superimposed on the net curtains, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
Breakfast is a simple European-style 'buffet' including local pastries, muesli, cold meat, cheeses, fruit plus scrambled eggs and pancakes, served in the cheery breakfast room. The 'boutique' (tea room), also serves delicious chocolates and macaroons. Surprisingly for a small boutique hotel, there is also an on-site spa offering massages and products from the French company Omnisens, plus a small pool and gym facilities.
