Set in an attractive building on a narrow side street in Rome's historic centre, this hotel is just a stone's throw from the Ponte Sisto, a picturesque stone bridge that was built in the 1470s and spans the River Tiber. Its location makes it a good base for exploring both the lively Campo de' Fiori and surrounding area, as well as the Trastevere neighbourhood on the other side of the river.
Many of the Eternal City's historical highlights are within easy reach of the hotel. The Pantheon, which is one of Rome's best preserved ancient monuments, is around 15 minutes' walk away, while the ornate fountains and open-air cafés of Piazza Navona are just over 10 minutes' walk. The Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, which is one of Rome's oldest churches, is just across the river.
In contrast to the bustling streets of the surrounding neighbourhood, the hotel's courtyard garden is a leafy oasis, complete with tall palm trees. During the summer months it's a peaceful spot in which to enjoy a buffet breakfast and a cappuccino. There's also a roof terrace that has views of the city skyline and overlooks the gardens of the Palazzo Spada, which is home to the Galleria Spada. With its classic décor and parquet floor, the lounge bar offers an elegant venue for drinks including Italian wines and fresh coffee. It's open until midnight if you fancy an after-dinner drink.
The hotel's bedrooms and suites have Italian marble bathrooms and cherry-wood furniture. Some Superior Rooms have whirlpool baths and small balconies with outdoor seating.
