Clean, minimalist, well priced: guests say H10 Berlin Ku’damm ticks all the boxes when it comes to a no-fuss, modern hotel in one of the world’s coolest cities.
It’s in a brilliant location; a 5-minute walk takes you to the eponymous Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s main shopping street. The Tiergarten, Berlin’s excellent zoo and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church are 10 minutes away and there’s a metro stop just around the corner for further excursions.
The property opened in 2011 and does feel very up to date, but there’s a historic wing adapted from an old Berlin building that houses the Junior Loft rooms. Expect high ceilings and big windows that fill the rooms with natural light in these.
Rooms in the more modern part of the property are comfortable and well soundproofed, with wooden floors, laptop safes, independent temperature controls and free Wi-Fi. Pick your favourite pillow type from the hotel’s menu to personalise your stay. Those staying in Privilege Rooms get access to the lounge, where there’s a complimentary bar.
Steps Bar has aperitifs and cocktails on offer, while the Salt and Pepper Restaurant serves food combining traditional German cuisine and Spanish flavours. Eat out on the pretty al fresco terrace during the warmer months. There’s also a health and beauty centre on site with a gym, sauna, ice fountain and experience shower.
