Hever Hotel is in the Kent village of Hever -- known for its picturesque Tudor properties. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the double-moated childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Hever Castle, which was built in the 13th century. Rich with Tudor artwork and furniture, it also has gardens, a lake, a woodland walk and a maze to explore.

The hotel is on the edge of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is full of nature reserves and hiking trails. Chartwell House, a National Trust property once belonging to Winston Churchill, is around 10 minutes' drive from the hotel. Hever Castle Golf Club, which has hosted PGA EuroPro Tour events, is next to the property.

The hotel has a main bar, an upstairs piano bar and a games room with a pool table. Breakfast and dinner are served in the Stables Restaurant, which has a rustic feel with wooden beams and pillars. The hotel also has a gym, a tennis court and a games room. Guests can borrow bikes, helmets and high-visibility jackets from the hotel without charge (subject to availability).

Having had a lovely shower myself my husband went for his to find no water in the taps We then went for breakfast and found that the tea machine relied on the water pressure so didn’t work I think this needs sorting out other than that we had a good stay

A pleasant comfortable stay in a quiet relaxing area. Room large, clean and comfortable. Restaurant modern but cosy. Liked the attractive breakfast crockery and style. Good coffee machine with choice of coffee. Food did run low but was topped up regularly. Staff pleasant.

Set in a lovely location but you do need a car as there is very little to do locally. Hotel is spacious and the rooms large. Pleasant decor and comfy bed, shower is very slow running. Breakfast had everything on offer and staff attentive, good choice of evening meal which was well made and served.

Very large room with 2 double beds plenty of space to store our motor cycle gear. Helpful staff who accommodated our motor bike clothing and overnight bag as we were too early for check in. Plenty of toiletries in bathroom and ample parking spaces. Food and service was good value for the money. All in All a very good travelzoo deal.

Our friends and us had a lovely two night stay at Hever Hotel.
Other Comments
Little niggles that didn't spoil our stay but put right would have enhanced it. 1 No suitcase trestle in room 39 2 Only one bedside lamp in room 39 3 No plug socket located near a mirror for hairdryer in room 3 4 Charred burgers not very pleasant to eat. One had to be returned as both burger and bun were very burnt.
