Two hours east of San Jose, Costa Rica, the Hotel Casa Turire is modeled after an old hacienda and circled by palm trees, with two volcanoes looming just beyond the property’s grounds. The lush green lands of Costa Rica’s Turrialba region surrounding the resort offer outdoor adventures for every travel style. Visitors can bird-watch; take horseback or horse-drawn carriage rides; borrow mountain bikes to explore the scenery; join a river rafting expedition; or canoe and kayak on Angostura Lagoon.
The intimate property has only 12 Standard Rooms, three Suites and one Master Suite. All accommodations have free Wi-Fi, private balconies and one king bed or two queens. Suites feature sofa beds in the seating areas, minibars, Jacuzzis and views of the Turrialba Volcano and Angostura Lake. Upgrading to the Master Suite gives guests two stories of private space, including a living room with sofa bed, two balconies with panoramic views, a king bed, Jacuzzi tub and minibar.
The restaurant serves Costa Rican cuisine for three meals a day, and the property also features an English-style bar. After a day of excursions off property, guests can unwind at the outdoor lagoon pool with Jacuzzi surrounded by tropical gardens.
