Rising above Broadway between Times Square and Central Park, this contemporary hotel greets guests with a sleek design and modern comforts in a soaring high-rise — it's part of the building that earned the title of North America's tallest hotel when it opened in 2014. The Courtyard sits on floors 6-33, and even though it's not atop the skyscraper (an extended-stay Residence Inn has the higher floors), guests still rave about the great city views.
Traditional rooms are average by New York City standards — about 210 square feet — but make effective use of the compact space. Floor-to-ceiling windows and decorative mirrors in every room create a light and airy atmosphere, especially in upper floors. Comfortable for tourists and business travelers alike, rooms include flat-panel TVs, Keurig coffee makers and refrigerators; there's also an on-site laundry room for longer-staying guests and double-paned windows help keep the street noise down.
A fourth-floor bistro offers Starbucks coffee, light fare such as sandwiches and muffins, plus local Brooklyn beers and New York State wines. Guests can sip cocktails while planning tomorrow’s urban adventure or emailing over complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests also receive complimentary access to the fitness center, including free yoga and Pilates classes. A wraparound terrace offers views of the Hudson River and Times Square.
This prime location is convenient to Carnegie Hall, Central Park and Times Square (all within a 10-minute walk) while avoiding the chaos of tourist-saturated areas. There are also six separate subway lines within three blocks of the hotel, making it easy to explore any of the boroughs.
