Why We Love This Hotel
- A 2016 Conde Nast Traveler Hot List hotel
- Richmond's first "art-driven" boutique hotel
- The rooftop bar, named one of the "10 Best Rooftop Bars in the U.S." by Conde Nast Traveler, offers sweeping views of downtown Richmond
- The hotel even has its own custom coffee
With its pink-walled rooms, custom-blended coffee and on-site art gallery, Quirk Hotel, A Destination Hotel, in Richmond, Virginia is not your typical property. Housed in a former department store, the 74-room boutique hotel on West Broad Street sits in the burgeoning art district of downtown Richmond.
Guest rooms are minimalistic in design. Muted shades of pink and grey, large windows and white linens create a serene and light-filled environment. Capitalizing on the eco-chic trend, custom beds are made from the salvaged floor joists of the original building and the refinished hardwood floors are also original.
The Coffee Bar in the lobby serves up European-style coffee from local Richmond coffee roaster Blanchard's Coffee Roasting Company. They even have a custom-blend specifically made for Quirk Hotel. The hotel's restaurant, Maple & Pine, led by David Dunlap, offers a seasonally inspired menu. The Rooftop Bar is a great place to grab a drink and enjoy expansive views of Richmond.
