Located about 20 miles from both Managua and Granada, Hacienda Puerta del Cielo Resort and Spa is a great place to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery of Nicaragua. The 65-acre, secluded resort is perched above a lake and natural preserve with a perfect view of Masaya Volcano, which glows red at night from the lava.
The intimate resort is comprised of eight private casitas. Most casitas have a private covered deck including a hammock and two deck chairs. Most casitas are for two people, but there is one Family Suite with two bedrooms, as well as a Honeymoon Suite. Since the resort is not within walking distance of town, the resort offers complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided by the hotel at set times.
With its location on Masaya Volcano National Park, the resort offers plenty of tours and activities. Adventurers will enjoy nighttime volcano tours, zip-lining, kayaking and waterfall hikes. Culture buffs can explore Granada, take a boat tour of Lake Nicaragua, tour the neighboring pottery villages or see a folk music and dance show.
