This large chalet-style hotel is in the Campo Carlo Magno pine forest, a short drive from the centre of Madonna di Campiglio, which is "one of Italy most fashionable ski resorts", according to The Daily Telegraph. The area has year-round appeal thanks to its beautiful scenery, world-class restaurants and the wide range of outdoor pursuits it offers, including skiing, snowboarding, golf, mountain biking and hiking. The hotel offers a frequent shuttle service to the centre of the village and the Grostè ski lift.
After you've worked up an appetite on the slopes or hiking in the fresh mountain air, you can head to the hotel's cosy wood-panelled restaurant, where the menu includes traditional regional Trentino and South Tyrolean dishes. There's also a comfortable lounge area and a bar with an open fire.
The hotel's wellness centre has a swimming pool, an aromatherapy bio sauna, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath and a relaxation area with loungers and comfy chairs.
Rooms and suites are decorated in a traditional Alpine style, with a focus on natural materials such as wood, stone and quality fabrics. They have traditional majolica heaters and balconies. Some of the higher-category suites have private saunas.
