"The accommodation was in a chalet which gave more room than a regular hotel room. There were armchairs so that after a day walking it was very comfortable to sit and watch the bird life in the garden"

Our room was in the old part of the hotel and was a bit tired. The radiators only heated half way. Bar facilities poor, no draught beer and drinks very expensive. Having said that we had a lovely time.

It appears people who book on the Travelzoo offer are given the old fashioned rooms that are in need of upgrade in decor and furnishings however it was very clean and comfortable

The food and service were very good.

Our room was in need of modernising. The doors and bathroom fittings need some attention, particularly the shower pipe and the toilet roll holder. There was also a chemical smell from the kettle which made the water tainted.

Everything! For us it was the perfect mix of modern amenities and old world charm. Helpful, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely return
