The Seaview Hotel, located one minute's walk from the Isle of Wight's northeast coast, is a "friendly place" in a "lovely" town (Condé Nast Traveller).

The ever-popular Isle of Wight is filled with activity options. The picturesque village of Seaview is dotted with Victorian buildings, restaurants, and seasonal shops. Appley Beach is 15 minutes' drive away from the hotel, while the Alan Hersey Nature Reserve is 10 minutes' walk. 20 minutes away by foot, Puckpool Park, an old Victorian Fortification Battery, has tennis courts and mini golf, in addition to its scenic views.

In the neighbouring town of Ryde, winery tours are available at Rosemary Vineyard, and Haven Falconry Bird of Prey Centre has 21 species from around the world and daily talks and handling sessions. Both are 15 minutes away by car.

The hotel's restaurant, headed by Bruce Theobald, uses fresh ingredients from its Newclose Farm, local sellers and British producers. This Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning eatery also offers a menu with an emphasis on locally caught fish. In addition to the restaurant, guests can also opt to eat and drink at the hotel's Naval Mess or the Pump Bar.

Guests will stay in the hotel's Standard Double Rooms. Children can stay in selected Standard Rooms for an extra £20 per child. Dogs can stay in selected rooms from £10 per dog, per night.

We loved it. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to CV19. Will definitely go back.

Parking in the local road was easy at this time of year. Hotel was good with the busy bar filled with hoteliers and locals. The food in the restaurant was very good, but we would have like a menu change during our 4 night stay. Breakfast always good with very slick service.

Nice hotel but a bit dated but it was clean and tidy and the service was good.

The room we had booked now had scaffolding in front so we were offered and accepted a room on the second floor - with better view. Sunday evenings meal was so-so, as the main restaurant was closed and only bar food was available - and not particularly well cooked. Monday night in the restaurant was much better. The charges for drinks in the bar were variable - between £5.13 and £7.20 for basically the same drinks.

Location of the hotel and the rooms, having been redecorated could not be faulted. Car park rather tight to get in and out.

Food excellent, staff helpful and friendly

The hotel might consider having an additional member of staff during breakfast. Staff were very busy, but the service was still a bit slow. Food good though.

We had anbsolutely beautiful stay at The Seaview Hotel. From start to finish the staff were friendly and preofessional, the service in the reastaurant couldnt be faulted - and neither could the breakfast!! Our room was lovel throughout, we were lucky enough to be given a 4 poster bed, all the linen was so fresh and soft and fluffy towels. What an absolute delight, I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to everyone that looked after us this weekend, we will be back! Lottie & Richie.
