In the village of Vilaflor, Tenerife's highest settlement, Hotel Spa VillAlba is a relaxing retreat in the shadow of Mount Teide.
It's located between Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Montaña Colorada, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with a giant lava dome at its heart. Mount Teide is the Canary Islands' most visited attraction. It's Spain's tallest mountain and is surrounded by a huge volcanic crater that has been used as a filming location for movies including "Clash of the Titans". There are many hiking routes in the immediate area. The nearest beach is about an hour's drive south.
The hotel is set in subtropical gardens filled with native pine and juniper trees. There's an outdoor pool, and a spa with a Turkish bath and a sauna to soothe aching muscle after a day hiking in the local area. La Vendimia Restaurant serves Spanish dishes and Canarian cuisine, and has a spacious outdoor terrace overlooking the pine forest. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public areas.
The 27 rooms have wooden floors and tiled bathrooms. All but the Double rooms have a balcony.
