The Five Hotel is in Paris's 5th arrondissement, in the city's lively Latin Quarter. It's a 5-minute walk from Rue Mouffetard, a narrow cobbled street lined with market stalls and bistros, and a 15-minute stroll from both Jardin du Luxembourg and Jardin des Plantes, a huge botanical garden on the left bank of the Seine.
The hotel is set in a 19th-century townhouse but is anything but traditional. The 25 rooms are individually decorated but all feature bespoke artwork and fibre-optic lighting that creates a starlight effect on the ceiling. They may be small by they're lavishly decorated with tactile fabrics including leather-look wall panelling, satin curtains and ridged metal doors.
The Deluxe Suspended Cocoon rooms feature suspended beds and colour-changing bathrooms, and the Suite comes with an outdoor Jacuzzi. Consider booking the One by the Five suite for a special occasion. Located across the road from the hotel, it has a floating bed, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a terrace, and is decorated with giant paintings of sculptures from the Louvre and a chandelier.
A daily buffet breakfast is available in a small brightly coloured dining room, or it can be served in your room. There's no restaurant on site but there are plenty of dining options nearby in the Latin Quarter.
