The Westin Cape Coral at Marina Village’s modern, 19-story tower is the only upscale hotel in the area. The spacious traditional rooms and suites each come with kitchens and private screened-in balconies to take in the views of the Gulf of Mexico, Caloosahatchee River and Tarpon Point Marina. There is plenty to do on property with three pools to choose from, a full-service spa and a kids club. As part of The Westin Well-Being Movement, the property will lend guests New Balance gear to use in the 24-hour fitness center or to explore the running, walking and biking paths around the hotel.
Cape Coral is famous for its more than 400 miles of canals, and the hotel’s location at Tarpon Point Marina makes it easy to explore the waterways. The marina has dolphin, sightseeing and sunset cruises, boat charters to Sanibel Island and deep-sea fishing excursions. The hotel provides a complimentary water taxi to Fort Myers Beach multiple times a day, seven days a week. The 45-minute boat ride takes the same time as driving, and is a relaxing alternative during peak season when traffic backs up on the two lane bridge to the beach. If you’re looking to stay local, the Cape Coral Yacht Club has a small beach a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
While the hotel is located in a quieter part of town, the hotel’s dockside bar, The Nauti Mermaid, is the best place in Cape Coral to enjoy the sunset with unobstructed views and entertainment on the weekends. Marker 92 is the hotel’s fine dining restaurant with indoor or patio seating overlooking the Caloosahatchee River and fire pits to keep you warm on chilly nights. Tarpon Point Marina also has an Italian restaurant, casual seafood restaurant and small market to pick up food and drinks for your room.
