Heacham Manor Hotel is an "attractive" (The AA Restaurant Guide 2016) 16th-century property with three AA Silver Stars and an AA-Rosette restaurant. This Grade II-listed building dates from 1580, and sits on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The first inhabitants of Heacham Manor are thought to have been French monks, and there are rumours of an underground tunnel linking the property with a ruined Hunstanton chapel. Today, the house has a winding driveway, characterful chimney stacks and a golf course intersected by two rivers.

Hunstanton's SEA LIFE centre is five minutes' drive from the hotel, while Sandringham Estate and Snettisham Park -- a 329-acre working farm -- are within 15 minutes' drive. The market town of King's Lynn is 30 minutes by car.

Food at the hotel's Mulberry Restaurant is "staunchly seasonal and driven by a sincere belief in local sourcing" (The AA). It serves a selection of winter-warmer cocktails, and the bar's log fire is a welcome sight on cold evenings. The golf club bar has a sundeck and Sky Sports. Standard Rooms are in the barn conversions adjacent to the main building. Wi-Fi is free.

All the staff were more than helpful. We upgraded to the accessible room which was stunning with doors to outside, overlooking the golf course. We also booked for dinner and enjoyed a three course meal of an exceptional standard. Breakfast was also delicious. All the staff, hotel and food was of a quality we were not expecting, easily matching that of a 4 star.
Other Comments
My package had an hour in the spa, however every time I called to arrange it, the therapists were busy and on leaving several messages we missed out. My husband has mobility issues so the hour in the thermal suite would have been massively beneficial to him so we were very disappointed, That's the only reason I marked down the Staff / Service to 4 stars.

Quiet room comfortable bed. Easy reach of hunstanton cromer coast.
Other Comments
The cream tea was not a cream tea. It was a cup of tea and a tiny scone Lots of additional charges. No free guest entitlement to use leisure club it inurred a ten pounds per person fee but was booked out for hen party. Very inexperienced staff. Meal choices disappointing. Service at dinner and breakfast very slow. Expensive in house bar. Broken radiator valve in room so no way of cooling room.
