They had a Hollywood filming at the hotel for two days and a night that filled the courtyard and was strewn along the main hallways. After we upgraded for a city view for $25 plus taxes per night, we then were told that the restaurant that has city views was closed due to filming and relocated to a hollow ballroom with no views. The filming even shut down the famed afternoon tea restaurant area that has the garden views. While walking to one of the shops, we were told to move along quickly to stay out of their shot. While they gave us $200 off, it wasn’t much in light of spending $1600 over three days for an incredibly disappointing experience. I wouldn’t go back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We spent a lot of money and they made that off us, plus tens of thousands for a double-booked filming. We should have been informed prior to arrival, and upon check-in. I would have moved hotels if I had any idea our vacation would have been incumbered like that.
