Whether you’re in Leeds to explore its industrial past or experience its bright, shiny present, the Leeds Marriott Hotel is quite possibly the best-situated 4-star hotel in town.
Just a few minutes from the door of the hotel, you’ll find Trinity Leeds shopping centre and the Corn Exchange, as well as the Victoria Quarter. Go a little further afield and you can explore the Royal Armouries Museum and the Leeds Industrial Museum (both around 15 minutes’ drive away). Sports fans can take a trip to Leeds United Football Club at Elland Road, or Yorkshire County Cricket Club, in Headingley. Historic houses such as Temple Newsam, surround the city, and the nearby Yorkshire Dales provide all you need in the way of outdoor activities.
If you’re back at the hotel for dinner, dining options include the Midtown Grill Restaurant for steak and seafood, the Indian AM Kitchen & Bar, and 1871 Bar & Lounge for cocktails. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room and a fully equipped gym, along with an Aveda Spa.
Rooms are decorated in classic style, though some guests have complained that the hotel is looking a little tired. Deluxe Rooms feature air conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities and 24-hour room service. WiFi is available for a fee. Upgrade to an Executive Room for a complimentary continental breakfast, hors d’oeuvres and snacks, and executive lounge access. Suites have a separate living and dining area.
