In summer, the Hotel Lenz is a great base for hikers and cyclists and those that enjoy canoeing and rafting. AREA 47 -- which has water slides, diving boards, a beach and a climbing area -- is also a 35-minute drive from the hotel.
In the winter, "the valley is undoubtedly one of Austria's best ski areas" (Lonely Planet) and previous guests have commented that it’s close to the slopes. The popular skiing town of Ischgl is also a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
Food at Hotel Lenz is served at the bar, in the hotel's conservatory area or on the outdoor terrace. The hotel's chef uses regional ingredients where possible and you can expect to find sausage, poultry, game and seasonal vegetables on the menu. Guests can also sample Paznauner Almkäse here -- which is a local cheese made using alpine milk.
