The Ainscow Hotel & Spa occupies the old Brown Brothers building, a former brewery on the border of Salford and Manchester. The building underwent a £6 million refurbishment in 2014 and is now a boutique bolthole with a blend of modern design and original features, including steel beams and exposed brickwork.
Located in Salford's historic Chapel Street area, this chic hotel is around 10 minutes' walk from Manchester Opera House, the People's History Museum and the shops and restaurants of Manchester's Spinningfields district.
Manchester Arena, Manchester Art Gallery, Bridgewater Hall, the Royal Exchange Theatre and the shops of the Arndale Centre are around 15 minutes' walk. Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium is two miles away.
The property has a dry spa offering a range of pampering treatments including facials, massages and manicures (extra charges apply, there are no wet spa facilities). Evening meals may be served in the hotel's stylish restaurant or in the relaxed Lounge Bar.
All 62 soundproof rooms feature free Wi-Fi, and large beds with Egyptian cotton sheets. Upgraded rooms and suites have kitchenettes, and many have spiral staircases leading to mezzanine floors with city views.
