Overview
Three-time winner of the World Travel Awards' Leading Boutique Hotel of Estonia award, the Savoy Boutique Hotel is in a great location for exploring the historic heart of Tallinn, with the beautiful Old Town on its doorstep. Many of the city's main sights, restaurants and shopping areas are also within walking distance. The Kaubamaja department store and the Viru Keskus shopping mall are both around an 8-minute walk from the hotel, while the perennially photogenic Town Hall Square is about five minutes away on foot. If you'd like to find out about the city's history, the Tallinn City Museum is also a short walk away.
There's free Wi-Fi at the hotel, and the concierge can arrange city tours and restaurant reservations, as well as tickets for the theatre and sporting events. Breakfast is served in the Restaurant MEKK, which is considered to be one of Estonia's top 50 restaurants (according to the "Flavours of Estonia" programme). The menu changes with the season, but expect to find beautifully presented modern Estonian dishes, such as salted cod with apple and celery salad, beef jerky, fish roe and root artichoke mousse.
For something less formal, the MEKK Bar serves cocktails, and a bar menu of soups, salads and sandwiches. Its City Wall Chamber is a private room that's available for meetings, lunches or dinner, and features a section of the 13th-century city wall. In the warmer months enjoy a drink and a spot of people watching from the terrace.
Room interiors are Art Deco-inspired and have bespoke furniture from Italy. Classic rooms have writing desks and armchairs. Upgrade to a Superior room for more space and additional features including a fruit or truffle platter, plus complimentary soft drinks from the mini bar. The Savoy Suite has a living room and a spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi.
