A 7-minute drive by car from Vilamoura, the 5-star Tivoli Victoria hotel in the Algarve region of southern Portugal is a popular choice for golfers.
Adjacent to the Oceânico Victoria golf course designed by renowned American golfer Arnold Palmer, the hotels is also a 6-minute drive to the Oceânico Old Course. There is an on-site putting green, and a free shuttle to Vilamoura Marina (about 15 minutes away), where there are shops, restaurants and a casino, as well as a beach.
The hotel has two main eateries: the top-floor Emo Restaurant that has panoramic views of the golf course (only open in the evening); and Sensorial Restaurant, which opens out onto the pool area (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). There are three pools, including one exclusively for adults, as well as three trendy bars (one is poolside), an Oriental-style spa, and a kids’ club for children aged 4-12.
All of the contemporary rooms have king-size beds, Nespresso machines and private verandas, plus iHome docking stations, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, free Wi-Fi and a pillow menu. The slick suites have rain showers, separate living rooms and balconies with lounge beds, but the Presidential Suite is the pick of the bunch, with its own dining room, private deck with a Jacuzzi, and butler service.
