Victorian chateau-style property? Check. Gorgeous views over Falmouth Bay? Check. Easy access to the town's attractions? You get the picture -- the Falmouth Hotel has plenty to offer the area's many visitors.
The South West Coast Path runs past the hotel, making this a great base for hikers, and Castle Beach is on your doorstep -- great for rock-pooling, snorkelling and diving. It's only a 15-minute walk from both Falmouth town centre and Gyllyngvase beach, which has (according to The Daily Telegraph) "the most beautiful golden sand". The National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle are both 10 minutes away. Other easy-to-reach attractions include the Flambards theme park and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, both 25-minutes’ drive away.
The AA-Rosette-awarded Castle Beach Restaurant offers a daily-changing menu, while the Lounge Bar offers cream teas, lighter bites and a children's menu.
Walkers can soothe their weary legs in the hotel's hot tub and sauna -- anyone else can burn off their cream tea in the gym or indoor swimming pool. Spa treatments and yoga classes are available at extra cost. Wi-Fi is available in all public areas and breakfast is included in all stays.
The Falmouth Hotel's 71 rooms are comfortably furnished. Standard Rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, free mineral water and tea-and coffee-making facilities. Executive rooms are more spacious -- some have sea views -- and suites have a separate living area.
