According to Frommer’s, “Hollywood’s most creative designers would struggle to build a set as perfect as Dubrovnik” and Hotel Neptun is a great base from which to explore this city, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Hotel Neptun is located on the Lapad Peninsula, on the shores of Babin Kuk -- a blue flag beach in Dubrovnik. The hotel is a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from the Old Town which is one of the city’s most popular attractions.Lonely Planet says “the sense of awe never fails to descend when you set eyes on the beauty of the Old Town… it’s hard to imagine anyone becoming jaded by the city’s marble streets, baroque buildings and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic.”
Within the hotel there is a swimming pool, a spa and three restaurants. Zoë Mediterraneo specialises in seafood and it has tables overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The Mediterraneo Restaurant serves up grilled meats and guests can take in views of the open sea and the reefs whilst they eat. The third dining option is La Castile -- this is a new restaurant which serves up steaks and seafood. Guests can dine on the terrace in La Castile and look out at the sea and the Villa Elita. The On the Rocks Cocktail Bar & Lounge also serves refreshments throughout the day.
There are 91 bedrooms in total, many of which offer sea views. However, you can expect to find air-conditioning, a telephone, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, a kettle, a safe, a bathrobe and slippers as standard.
