Why We Love This Hotel
- Located in the market town of Tiverton, the hotel has a riverside location, a restaurant, and a bar.
- The Grand Western Canal is 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. Hop aboard a canal boat or take a stroll along the towpath to admire the beauty of this waterway.
- For some local history, pop by the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life, which houses a collection of important and quirky artefacts, or make for Tiverton Castle, which was built in the 12th century by order of Henry I. Both sites are a 15-minute stroll from the hotel.
- Knightshayes Court is around five minutes' drive from the hotel. This National Trust-owned Victorian manor house is set in more than 250 acres of parkland and woodland.
- Walking and cycling opportunities abound in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape and Exmoor National Park. Both are less than 25 minutes' drive from the hotel.
- Exeter is 30 minutes' drive away. Head down to the cobbled quayside, visit its grand Gothic cathedral, or take a tour of the Underground Passages to learn about the city's Medieval history.

It’s not the best but no complaints for what we paid. Be realistic about what you paid & what your get & you won’t be disappointed.

Travelled with my sister. Central to everywhere we needed to go. Excellent service although it did feel as if we were in a Fawlty Towers Hotel, but we loved it & would def go back.

The hotel was far to understaffed to cope with the amount of people there. No lager left in the place. This did not reflect on our stay & the staff that were there at the time...all 2 of them were so stressed but handled it so well, thank you.

The travelzoo deal is fantastic value for money. Wine in room, a meal and breakkie. Hotel is a little dated, and menu quite basic, but pleasent enough. Large room, comfy bed. Dining staff a little slow and needed some training on what offer includes. Lots of free parking and nice surroundings. Back of hotel faces river and bed rooms

The staff were really friendly, polite and accommodating. The food was nice in the restaurant. The room was really spacious. Great value for money.

I wish I’d got the name of the lady in the dining area during the evening and breakfast because she was really helpful and attentive.
