The Gibson Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- A modern design hotel close to some of Dublin’s biggest events venues
- Peaceful, but within easy reach of the city’s main attractions
- Asian-inspired zen courtyards and a relaxation area with mountain views
- Two dining options -- and the bar has an outdoor terrace overlooking the city
A contemporary design hotel close to the River Liffey, The Gibson Hotel is a destination in itself. It features Asian landscaping in the courtyard, an outdoor terrace on the third floor and a relaxation area -- perfect for unwinding after exploring Dublin’s fun and fascinating attractions.
The hotel sits a little outside the main centre, but Dublin’s compact nature and excellent public transport mean this isn’t a problem -- simply take a bus or walk across the river to see the sights. Trinity College, Dublin Castle and the Jervis shopping centre are all within easy reach. And you’re ideally placed for the 3Arena concert venue (opposite the hotel) or Convention Centre (10 minutes’ walk).
Dublin heaves with restaurants and bars, but if you’re heading back, the hotel’s Coda Eatery serves a variety of steaks and grills, while the bar offers Pan Asian and European cuisine. Zen courtyards have soothing bamboo and water features, and a relaxation area on the sixth floor offers views over the Wicklow Mountains. Still have energy to burn? Hit the well-equipped gym instead.
Rooms focus on all things calm and tranquil. They’re flooded with natural light and some open onto the hotel’s courtyards -- many, including the Superior Rooms, feature views of the city. Spacious Family Rooms are also available, while Executive Rooms offer fluffy robes and a private balcony. Upgrade to a Junior Suite for a private terrace or balcony, or go all out with the Penthouse suite’s panoramic city views.
