The Hotel Indigo Glasgow is a 4-star boutique property that was named Scotland's Hotel of the year 2013 at the Scottish Entertainment Guides Awards. The Victorian building was originally one of the city's first power stations, and blends exposed brickwork with contemporary décor and murals by local artists.
The hotel is within a 10-minute walk from Vincent Street Church, the Gallery of Modern Art and the Glasgow School of Art -- known for its association with the innovative work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh -- and less than 30 minutes on foot from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The property is also well placed for the city's many shops, bars and restaurants.
The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill serves modern British cuisine, with a range of champagnes, wines and cocktails, and there's also an on-site gym/work-out room and fitness centre.
The hotel offers a range of rooms, including Executive, Superior and Deluxe, as well as the Indigo penthouse suite. All rooms are individually designed, and come with free Wi-Fi, rainfall showers, Aveda toiletries and a complimentary mini bar stocked with drinks and snacks. The beds feature Egyptian cotton bed linen, and all rooms include an iPod docking station.
