The Carlton George Hotel is a boutique property in Glasgow city centre. The hotel is home to the city's only rooftop bar, and guests can expect to find a complimentary mini bar and free decanters of whisky, gin and vodka in their rooms
The hotel is a 2-minute walk from Queen Street train station and five minutes' walk from the Gallery of Modern Art. Buchanan Galleries -- Scotland's biggest shopping centre and home to over 80 stores, including John Lewis -- is also a 2-minute walk away.
Windows, which is located on the seventh floor of the Carlton George Hotel, is the only rooftop restaurant in Glasgow and offers views over the city's rooftops and chimney pots. The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients and the menu changes depending on what's in season. Breakfast is also served in Windows.
Waxy O'Connor's, an Irish-themed bar, is located on the ground and the basement level of the hotel. This bar features nine areas with six bars spread over three floors. It serves a selection of drinks, including whiskies and Guinness, as well as Scottish and Irish-inspired food daily until 9pm, with oysters, steak and haggis all on the menu.
Each room has air conditioning and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and guests get free Wi-Fi and free local calls.
All Club and Executive rooms have access to the Executive Lounge, which serves free tea, coffee and soft drinks all day and complimentary selected wine, beer and spirits each evening from 5-10:45pm.
